Dr. Kaloján Vaszilev

I graduated from Semmelweis University of Medicine. I spent my residency years at the Dental Department of Kútvölgyi Clinic, under the guidance of university and postgraduate instructors. At the clinic, I participated in the treatment of a large number of complex cases and worked alongside renowned oral surgeons and orthodontists, expanding my knowledge. Later, I also became a teacher and had students of my own.

After that, I joined one of Hungary’s most renowned dental practices, working alongside Dr. András Volom. Working with Dr. Volom gave me the opportunity to treat complex cases with a high level of precision, focusing on periodontology and cosmetic dentistry. I gained insight into the daily workings of a complex, precision-oriented dental practice and the constant maintenance of proper hygiene.

After completing my professional exam, my colleague Dr. Orsolya Szűcs and I opened our own practice in the heart of Újbuda. We designed the practice to suit our own tastes, so I really feel that I can spread my wings and do my job to a high standard here.

My main areas of interest are oral surgery, prosthetics (dentures), and, last but not least, periodontology (treatment and prevention of gum disease), which forms the basis for further treatment. I spare no time or expense in expanding my knowledge under the guidance of renowned oral surgeons both abroad and at home, making sure to participate in many practical courses. Since 2009, I have been a member of the Swiss-based International Team for Implantology (ITI), whose events I attend regularly. I have integrated the latest oral surgery techniques, which are based on scientifically proven principles, into our practice and have expanded our range of equipment accordingly: microsurgical kit, Piezo Master Surgery, W&H surgical motor, Sinus Lift (sinus lift kit), digital panoramic and small X-ray.

Besides oral surgery, my other favorite area is prosthetics (dental prostheses). We deal with countless types of dental prostheses, including, but not limited to, the following: metal-free and gold-based bridges and crowns, non-grinding bridges, inlays and onlays, and precision-anchored combined prostheses. To make the choice easier for my patients, I prepare a detailed treatment plan and document my cases with a series of digital photos, which I can use later to present the different types of restorations.

In my work, I consider precision and painlessness to be the most important goals to pursue. I demand attention and focus from myself and my colleagues, because I believe that this is the only way to do truly valuable and successful work in the long term. Every day, I experience the importance of adequate pain relief in all areas of dentistry, and I place great emphasis on this. I strive to earn the trust of my patients, because this is the only way to do my job well.
